Wedding
Officiation
Who can get married at or through New Life The Fort?
At least one member of the couple must be a member of New Life The Fort and must have been actively attending for at least six (6) months. This allows us to journey with you spiritually as you prepare for marriage.
What exactly am I requesting?
You are requesting a wedding solemnizing officer, specifically a licensed NLTF pastor who will officially lead and officiate your Christian wedding ceremony.
When is the best time to submit a wedding request?
We recommend submitting your request at least six (6) months before your wedding date. This provides enough time for:
- Completion of government requirements
- Completion of church prerequisites
- Pastoral counseling and schedule coordination
- Planning and preparation for the ceremony
Starting early helps ensure a smooth and joy-filled wedding journey.
Is the wedding pastoral service free?
Yes. In celebration of God’s love, the service of our wedding officiant is offered free of charge.
However, the couple will be responsible for applicable administrative or logistical costs, particularly for:
- Out-of-town or destination locations
- Transportation and other logistical needs
- Coordination and administrative processing
These costs help cover transportation, coordination, and administrative processing. Any personal gift of appreciation for the pastor or minister is entirely voluntary and may be discussed during the orientation.
How do we submit a wedding request?
Complete the Pastoral Services Form. You may also email [email protected] or call 0917 586 8323.
After submission, a member of the Pastoral Services team will contact you and guide you through the next steps.
